CEPHALON FIELD GUIDE
How to play this build.
Tenno. In Day form, Peaceful Provocation adds 70% Strength on top of Pacify and Provoke, pushing Gloom to a 94% slow and letting Rage stun-lock a room. Switch to Night form with Gloom still up and Peaceful Provocation's 80% slow multiplies against Gloom's 95% to reach 99%: time practically stops, and Mend regenerates your shields against any stray fire. Bank damage in Maim, then release.
How it works
Max Fleeting Expertise plus Streamline hits the 190% Efficiency channel-drain floor (the UI shows 175%) so you can hold up to three channelled abilities.
Duration is dumped above the 40% floor.
Peaceful Provocation stacks to +70% Strength in Day form (reaching 272% for a 95% Gloom slow), and in Night form adds an 80% slow that multiplies against Gloom's 95% for a compound 99%.
Playstyle
1.
Start in Day, activate 3 for the initial 40% Strength.
2.
Activate Gloom with 3 up for ~83% slow; activate 4 to stun and bank damage.
3.
Kill until Peaceful Provocation shows 70%; dispel and recast Gloom for 94%.
4.
Deactivate 4 to nuke, reactivate immediately to re-stun.
5.
Switch to Night, activate 3 and 4, take shield-only damage until Peaceful Provocation shows 80% for the 99% compound slow.
The mods
Fleeting Expertise, Streamline hit the Efficiency floor.
Transient Fortitude is the Strength core (drop for Primed Flow plus Rolling Guard if you run Madurai plus Molt Augmented for +100%).
Stretch, Augur Reach set the Range.
Primed Continuity keeps Duration above the floor.
Peaceful Provocation is the slow-stacking augment.
Brief Respite aura feeds shield gating.
Helminth
Gloom over a slot is the build.
Energy Transfer augment as an option to bank in Night and nuke in Day.
Arcanes
Arcane Energize (essential for the triple-channel drain), Molt Augmented or Molt Vigor for Strength.
Arcane Consequence for parkour off the easy slowed headshots.
Focus
Madurai or Zenurik plus Molt Augmented for +100% Strength to free strength mods.
Vazarin as a backup.
Weapon synergy
Zenith's infinite punch-through pairs with Maim's through-wall slash indicators to hit enemies through walls.
Otherwise a strong area weapon to bank Maim fast.
Staying alive
The 99% slow in Night form is near-total time freeze, plus Mend shield regen against stray fire, plus shield gating.
It fails to a hit that lands before the slow is fully stacked, and to toxin.
Energy
The Efficiency floor plus Arcane Energize.
A Dethcube helps.
Where it struggles
The Day-to-Night stacking sequence is a real skill barrier and interrupts DPS.
Maim's falloff and banking delay as in The Sleeping Sun.
Bosses.
Variants
The The Sleeping Sun build is the simpler sleep-and-Maim switch.
Strengths and weaknesses
Strong: the strongest slow in the game (near time freeze), stun-lock nuke, effective immortality in Night form.
Weak: complex stacking sequence, Maim falloff, boss-blind.
Who runs this
Players who want to functionally stop time and delete the frozen room.
