CEPHALON FIELD GUIDE
How to play this build.
Tenno. Wrathful Advance is a flat crit-chance number equal to your Strength, and it lands on both your melee and Bladestorm. At high Strength that pushes Bladestorm to tier-four red crits, tens of millions per hit, no priming needed. Mark a room with 4, send the clones, and everything below level 500 is already dead. Smoke Screen keeps you invisible while it happens.
How it works
Since the 2025 rework Bladestorm is an exalted: the Shadow Clones weapon takes melee mods and scales on melee crit, and Wrathful Advance's flat crit-chance boost (equal to final Strength) is what turns its low base crit into guaranteed red crits.
The listed build sits lower at 199% arsenal Strength and leans on Molt Augmented, Crepuscular and Madurai to climb.
Ability priority
1.
Tap 1 for Wrathful Advance, keep it up.
It doubles as mobility.
2.
Cast 2 for invisibility, recast as needed.
3.
Cast 3 (Teleport Rush) to finisher enemies and refresh invisibility.
Casting 3 during Bladestorm makes you join in and finish faster.
4.
Optional: prime with viral and multiple statuses for the level-cap variant.
5.
Tap 4, sweep the cursor over enemies to mark them, tap 4 again to send the clones.
Mop up with melee or gun.
Efficiency and energy
Negative Efficiency is sustainable because Smoke Screen lasts long and refreshes off Teleport, and Bladestorm costs about 9.3 energy per mark while invisible for a guaranteed one-shot.
Equilibrium is the main engine; a Synth Deconstruct companion feeds it, and Eximus kills drop two health orbs for 110 energy.
Duration, Range, Strength
High Duration for Smoke Screen and Wrathful Advance uptime.
Range is dumped to 79% because Bladestorm's 50m base already covers a big room; go wide only for open-world (Overextended over Narrow Minded).
Strength is the damage and the crit-chance boost, so it is the stat you push.
The mods
Umbral Intensify, Transient Fortitude are the Strength core.
Narrow Minded, Primed Continuity are the Duration, with Narrow Minded's Range cost being free here.
Primed Flow is the pool.
Equilibrium is the energy.
Teleport Rush is a flex slot for finishers and parkour, swappable for Rolling Guard or an Augur mod.
Steel Charge aura adds mod capacity and a little melee damage.
Flexible slots
Brief Respite over Steel Charge for shield-gate backup, with Shuriken as an on-demand shield refill.
Rolling Guard for the random AoE status procs that get through invisibility.
Seeking Shuriken for boss and Disruption armor strip.
The exilus is open.
Arcanes
Arcane Crepuscular for 30% Strength and a flat crit-damage add while invisible, which is a large Bladestorm buff given its low base crit damage.
Arcane Fury for melee damage.
Arcane Trickery is a strong swap: at this kill rate it keeps near-permanent, undispellable invisibility.
Arcane Blade Charger instead of Fury for a gun-leaning Ash.
Focus
Madurai for 40% Strength and 50% cast speed, and it is the Cascade meta.
Naramon to hold Bladestorm combo without Melee Crescendo.
Vazarin for endurance i-frames.
Unairu for free knockdown resist and a full strip.
Weapon synergy
Finisher weapons benefit from Teleport finishers: hammers and rapiers at 32x back-finisher, scythes at 14x.
Slash heavy-attack melees pair with Ash's slash passive; x12 heavy setups (Glaive Prime, Syam, Sepfahn) are strong.
A primer is optional for the level-cap variant.
Staying alive
Near-permanent invisibility plus Rolling Guard or Vazarin Sling.
It fails to AoE and environmental status procs while cloaked, and to nullifiers stripping Smoke Screen (Arcane Trickery does not have that problem).
Energy
Equilibrium plus a Synth Deconstruct pet.
Backups: Grimoire Xata Invocation, Energy Nexus, Zenurik.
Where it struggles
Bosses and Demolysts resist the Bladestorm one-shot without heavy priming, so single-target boss damage is on your melee.
Open worlds need a Range rebuild.
Variants
A min-maxed one-shot-level-cap Bladestorm build.
A gas Bladestorm for dense survival.
A Savage Silence variant.
A pure gun platform with Eclipse or Roar.
Strengths and weaknesses
Strong: genuine level-cap one-shot clear, permanent stealth, low priming needs, flexible melee platform.
Weak: boss damage needs the melee, Range rebuild for open maps, exalted now means Shadow Clones needs its own mods and forma.

CEPHALON FIELD GUIDE
How to play this build.
Tenno. Bladestorm's true-damage component bypasses armour, and this build stacks the multipliers that feed it: Covert Lethality, Finishing Touch, Condition Overload and Melee Crescendo, so one mark deletes a level-cap enemy.
The mods
Elemental damage bonuses (Primed Fever Strike, Melee Exposure) do not touch Bladestorm's armour-bypassing true damage; they only add attenuated bonus damage, full against unarmoured targets and overguard.
Covert Lethality plus Finishing Touch drive the finisher damage; Condition Overload multiplies per status; Melee Crescendo stacks on kills.
Where it struggles
Ash-locked.
Bladestorm marking rhythm.
Armoured targets get less from the elemental component.

CEPHALON FIELD GUIDE
How to play this build.
Tenno. On dense maps, gas on Bladestorm turns each mark into a spreading cloud. Shadow Clones has a real 5% base status (the listed number is wrong), so Volcanic Edge plus Weeping Wounds at twelve combo brings it to about 30%.
The mods
Volcanic Edge plus Proton Snap build gas; Weeping Wounds pushes status with combo; Lasting Sting extends the clouds; Covert Lethality plus Finishing Touch drive the Bladestorm finisher damage; Melee Crescendo stacks a gun buff.
Where it struggles
Ash-locked.
Gas immunity.
Bladestorm marking rhythm.

The Copied Blades (#314) is the true-damage one-shot Bladestorm.
